The Tuscan Landscape
You only have to step from the back door of our farmhouse retreat to appreciate the natural splendour of the landscape around you. With a diverse landcape ranging from mediteranean beaches to snow topped mountains all within an hours drive there are beautiful vistas around every corner, and with one of the largest national parks in Italy on your doorstep there is plenty to see in the countryside nearby.

Orrido Di Botri
Tuscany's Grand Canyon the orrido di botri is an imrpessive limestone gorge cut deep into the landscape by the Pegalo river in places the cliffs either side rise some 200 metres, with its own microclimate it has many rare and interesting plants and animals and is a favoured nesting site for the regions golden eagles.
To give it its correct title the Ponte della Maddelena at Borgo a Mozzano is an impressive feat of engineering especially when you consider it was built circa 1100
Monte Prato Fiorito
The highest peak in the area Prato fiorito meaning field of flowers is well worth the moderate walk for the fantastic views at the summit
